Special thanks to Luisa Fuentes, owner and founder of Rayito de Sol, a Spanish Immersion Early Childhood Center in Richfield. I learned about her journey – both in immigrating to Minnesota and in building her business – and she has a great story to tell!
Rayito de Sol was founded in 2003 and is an National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accredited organization. Less than 7% of all childcare centers on the nation successfully complete this process because of its stringent standards. With this national accreditation Rayito de Sol ensures the quality of their educational program and reinforces Luisa’s pursuit of excellence in business operations.
Luisa provided me with a tour of their two-room facility on Nicollet Avenue in Richfield; they also operate a larger facility in Minneapolis as well. Growth could be in the future for Rayito de Sol and the Chamber is hopeful that Luisa and her staff will partner on their journey!
The Richfield Chamber is a Grow MN! partner. Grow MN! is a program of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce which harnesses public and private resources to keep Minnesota companies strong and competitive in today’s global economy. Partners visit with Minnesota companies to thank them for their investment in their communities and this state.
