August BEER Event – AWESOME!

August BEER EventThe August 8 BEER event was another Sell Out and a great event! Attendees heard from members of The Minnesota Super Bowl Bid Committee who delivered the successful presentation “Built for the Bold” landing the 2018 Super Bowl in Minnesota! The bid presentation highlighted the new, iconic and bold stadium as a centerpiece, and included the many bold moves Minnesotans have made in creating a destination that is ready to host the world’s biggest game. Event feedback has been tremendous!

  • Debra Hampton: Director, Concept Support Services – American Dairy Queen Corporation: “Another amazing B.E.E.R. event at Friday’s breakfast meeting – how exciting to hear in person from those responsible the strategy for putting together and presenting the winning bid for Super Bowl 2018, and the business opportunities the event brings to the greater metropolitan area.”
  • Colleen Nagle: Minnesota Branch Manager – Knight Barry Title, Inc.: “The BEER event about Super Bowl 2018 far exceeded my expectations as it was very informative, engaging and an extremely fun story to hear! Can’t wait for the next event.”
  • Marsha Chernoff Golob – Award-Wining Events AWE!: “Michael Langley, President/CEO of Greater MSP and Lester Bagley, Vice President of the Minnesota Vikings, speakers at the B.E.E.R event today, were exceptional presenters.  They provided an informative and thorough description of the intensive process that was implemented to convince the NFL decision makers to ultimately, select Minnesota. Of course, as capitalists, it was great to learn how we can add value to some of the future Super Bowl opportunities, and go for the BOLD.”
  • Daniel Balach – Owner, Jimmy John’s Sandwiches:“What a great way to start the day!  The Superbowl video made me feel proud to be a Minnesotan!”
  • Richard Erickson – Owner, Richard Alan Productions: “The Superbowl BEER event provided a deep understanding and appreciation of the incredible teamwork it took to bring a Superbowl to the Twin Cities, the amount of work yet to be done, and the tremendous opportunity this will be to perpetuate positive economic conditions for Minnesota.”
  • Laurel Hansen – Business Director, The Arc Greater Twin Cities: “This was a great event! Very worthwhile networking for our organization as we expand in the South metro. I agree, we are “built for the bold”. Lester Bagley set a good example of risk taking and resiliency.”
  • Patrick Dale – CEO, Headway Emotional Health Services: “Today’s BEER event focusing on the Super Bowl was extremely informative and entertaining. The opportunity to hear firsthand from two of the 5 major players in the bid process was really helpful. Getting the chance to hear about how the bid was prepared, what was included in the bid regarding commitments from the metro area and how the preparation for the Super Bowl will go forward was a unique experience. This perspective allowed the local businesses that attended the opportunity to better understand the scope and range of planning and expected economic impact from hosting the game and related events. Clearly the BEER communities will play key roles in following through on the promises made to make the game experience one of a kind.”
  • Debi Neitzel-Waitkus, Firm Administrator – Maser, Amundson, Boggio, Hendricks PA: “Wow! What a great B.E.E.R. event. Fantastic turnout, great networking and impressive presentation by the Super Bowl Task Force.”
  • Kelly Ulrick, Event Coordinator – Minnesota Life College: “The B.E.E.R. event today was amazing! Hearing the theme that won Minnesota the bid, “Be Bold” inspired each and everyone of us. The best part was that it was a room full of local business people talking about the ways that we all can work together to help make this event a win for the entire state.”
  • Adam Selby, General Manager – Four Points By Sheraton: “Today’s event was great!  I am now even more excited for the Super bowl and for the state of MN to be showcased in 2018.”
  • Caryn Gates, Director of Sales & Marketing – Four Points By Sheraton: “What energized me the most about the meeting was the greater focus around not just Super Bowl 52 in 2018, but the focus on continuing this push for expansion and economic growth of our wonderful cities! These forward thinking collective ideas were what I believe won over the NFL owners/committee and what will continue to drive successful development in our area beyond Super Bowl 52. I thought the idea of each chamber having their own individual committees for the Super Bowl event was a fantastic idea.  This committee will act as liaisons between the larger committee and our small businesses in each community to maximize the economic growth for all of us.”
  • Tim Carter, GM and Managing Partner – RB Honda: “Today’s BEER event regarding the Vikings and the 2018 Super Bowl was exceptional! It took a much deeper dive into the Regional impact and emotionally charged the audience in a big way!”
  • Edward E. Beckmann, Attorney – Hellmuth & Johnson: “I loved the BEER event today.  All of our BEER events have been fantastic, and one of the most enjoyable things we do as a Chamber.  Today’s speakers were informative, fun, and clearly that want to help our businesses capitalize on the money to be generated in the Twin Cities from hosting the Super Bowl.”
  • Amy L. Hesselgrave, Campus Director – Village Shores Senior Community: “This was my first BEER event and loved the interaction with all the different chambers and the program was great!”
