For my latest restaurant review I visited the Champps Kitchen & Bar in Richfield for lunch. If you have ever been to a Champps you know what to expect: a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere, pleasant service, and a large selection of beer. The Champps located here in the Market Plaza shopping center is no different. There is plenty of free parking and the restaurant itself is quite large. It has an outdoor patio, plenty of televisions, darts and other games as well. One thing of note at this location is that they seem to have a larger selection of local beers on tap then what I have seen at other Champps locations around the Twin Cities.
When I arrived I was promptly greeted by the host and taken to my table. My server came out shortly after with a glass of water for me and to see if I had any questions about the menu. I already had a pretty good idea of what I wanted so I ordered right away. My order was the Club Sandwich with an order of wings. I split the sauces between the order of wings so I could try both the classic buffalo and the hot honey.
Despite there being quite a large lunch crowd my meal came out very quickly. The Club Sandwich was delicious and came with a ton of fries. I really can’t emphasize enough how many fries I got with my sandwich, it was awesome! The wings were equally delicious. Cooked perfectly and with just enough kick to make my eyes water a bit. I think I slightly preferred the hot honey, although the classic buffalo was also delicious.
If you are looking for a family-friendly, casual restaurant that serves classic American cuisine, I recommend the Champps Kitchen & Bar. Friendly service, tasty food, and local beer are all staples of this favorite Richfield restaurant.
