Colleen NagleRelationship Building

Being involved in the Chamber has been very rewarding and enjoyable. I’ve had the opportunity to build numerous relationships with many Chamber members in our community. I always look forward to the engagement during the exceptional monthly and quarterly B.E.E.R. events. I would highly recommend joining the Richfield Chamber of Commerce!

Shared Goals

We share the same point of view, our business and the Richfield Chamber of Commerce. “Shop Local”! We couldn’t ask for a better advocate for our business in the Richfield community. The Richfield Chamber is the voice for local business, small and large. There is strength, and impact, in being an active chamber member! With the Richfield Chamber, we feel recognized, highlighted, and endorsed. We recommend, and commend, the Richfield Chamber of Commerce.

Building Community Partnerships

After attending a couple chamber events, I have connected with a few industries. The purpose of making these connections goes towards providing opportunities for the families I serve in the Boy Scouts of Richfield and Minneapolis. Not only are they being provided with educational opportunities, but service opportunities as well. Our goal is to build as many partnerships as possible to build up the communities we live in, but lead by example. Building these partnerships helps us identify what those needs are and be leaders in service. This chamber provides that strong network potential!

Creating a Strong Local Economy

Mary Everett

I attended the Richfield Chamber Holiday event at Pizza Lucé earlier this month. During the event I met a wonderful woman by the name of Kristie Beauchaine. I learned that she is the Director of Sales for Candlewood Suites in Richfield.

As Kristie and I visited, she inquired as to how CenterPoint Energy, my employer, identifies lodging options for employees who are in town for business. Over the course of the next few days, I was able to put Kristie in touch with our Corporate Travel representative to discuss using Candlewood Suites as a possible lodging partner for CenterPoint Energy in the future.

This, in my opinion is what the Richfield Chamber is all about – businesses helping businesses grow the Richfield economy!

Professional Development Opportunities

kristieI attended Business at Breakfast this morning. What a great event! Not only was the content of the program extremely useful and beneficial to me professionally but I was able to network with actual decision makers from Richfield businesses. I attend many “networking” events but this was by far one of the best!

This [August 15, 2013 with Stevie Ray] was the best combined BEER [Bloomington Edina Eden Prairie Richfield, multi-chamber] event yet. Thanks for making it possible for me to attend today. I took a card from a person at my table who I may be able to utilize for a work project!

Increased Visibility in the Community

LauraBarrettLast week our landscape team completed a commercial project at a fellow chamber member’s facility. Last week we also signed an agreement for a different landscape project at a member’s personal residence. Both customers are people I have met at various chamber events. Neither of these opportunities would have been available to us without our chamber involvement.

It is a powerful reminder to me of the value brought by involvement in our community and the benefits the chamber provides for our business.

Promoting the Community

Jean FoxRichfield Rotary recently hosted five professionals from India as a part of a business and friendship exchange. We wanted part of their visit to focus on vocational visits with their professional US counterparts.

The Richfield Chamber of Commerce was instrumental in helping me to find perfect opportunities for our visitors. The Chamber president, Angie Schaefbauer, was exceptionally responsive to my requests and demonstrated the kind of exceptional partnership between volunteer and civic organizations that strengthen our community.

Richfield Rotary is proud to be a member of the Richfield Chamber of Commerce.

Engaging in Political Action

Tim CarterI’ve been involved with the Richfield Chamber since 2002, when I first became GM at RB Honda. I joined as a result of how Steve Lindgren, then Chamber President (retired) and the Richfield Chamber helped me though some troubles I inherited.

I needed, with high priority, to get in touch with key City personnel to get answers to resolve my issues. The Chamber was the only source who responded to my needs every step of the way, and I wasn’t even a Chamber member at that time.

Immediately after, I joined and was resolute to pay back as long as I was a business in Richfield. Since then, I became very active in the Chamber and through that, I’ve received back many referrals for my Parts, Service and Sales.

The cost of membership is insignificant compared to the ROI. It’s amazing! In addition, I’ve learned about business practices that have helped me improve my results from other Chamber members.

There is much talent in our Chamber and everyone is eager to share to help each other. My suggestion to every business, no matter your size, get signed up, get actively involved, enjoy the positive return and the rewarding relationships!
