Welcome to the Weekly Update. Did you think that just because it is summer, it is time to slow down and relax? Well, that’s not how we do it at the Chamber! Things are heating up here! Did you happen to read last week’s Community Connections email? It was a wonderful story about how connected we all are and what happens when you show up to a meeting and introduce yourself to someone new. If you missed it, visit our blog and read about it here. Your next opportunity to “Show Up” is at our Monthly Member Meeting on June 21.
Did you also know that as a result of our relationship with the DECA program at Richfield High School, one lucky students now has a summer internship with our very own Midland Title! The Richfield Rotary Club generously sponsored additional students to attend the luncheon and as a result of some networking, a summer intern opportunity was created. (Stay tuned over the summer as we follow this story!) Sometimes our Chamber relationships are about more than just generating new business. Think of all the great PR that happens as a result of the above mentioned connections. Think of the “trust factor” that is being promoted throughout our community as a result of simply showing up and saying hello. What is the next opportunity you will take advantage of?
