Time to Review

Time to Review
Anne Schultz, President

Happy Halloween! If you’re thinking, I can’t believe tomorrow is November, you are probably not alone! As the seasons change, today is a strong reminder that the holidays are just around the corner. As our retail stores start the holiday shopping season, November is time for all of us, to meet with our accounting team and review 2017. If there are fiscal changes your company needs to address before the end of year, you will still have time to execute a change to your financial plan. The Chamber is an excellent source for financial guidance. Check out all our qualified members here to find out who can help you.
Let’s take a look at all we have achieved at the Chamber this year! In the Spring, we congratulated Nic Romero, of Arazon Financial Group on receiving the Small Business of the Year award. Nic is an active Chamber member, serves on our Board of Directors, lives in our community and has achieved great success in working with his clients to help them reach financial piece of mind.

Throughout the year, we have hosted morning coffee meetings and after work happy hours as ways our members can connect with each other in an informal environment. Each month we have hosted a general member meeting with discussing important topics from the city planning to leadership initiatives. We have connected with and continue to grow our partnership with our local schools. The Chamber is also supporting the upcoming levy referendum. You can read about the levy here. The Chamber also provides opportunities for our members to connect with people from the surrounding communities with our B.E.E.R. meetings. The final B.E.E.R. meeting for this year will be Thursday, November 30.   Our meeting schedule is just one way to utilize your Chamber membership. We also create strategic partnerships with larger organizations to bring you effective tools to help manage your business. This year, we partnered with RealTime Talent Exchange to give you a state of the art jobs website that not only matches you to the most qualified candidate, it also takes personality traits into consideration to find the candidate most compatible to your company environment. We are partners with Grow MN! and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce to actively work on and support legislation that creates a business friendly environment for all companies in our state. At the City level, we are actively engaging with our community members and local representatives to help create a strong working relationship between all the organizations that make our city great. If you are looking for more ways to get involved that work better into your schedule, give me a call today and we can customize a strategy that works for you.
