The Richfield Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is composed of nine (9) – twelve (12) members one-third of whom shall be elected annually to serve for three (3) years, or until their successors are elected and have qualified. Chamber bylaws stipulate that a board member may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. When a board of directors seat is vacant, the board appoints a Nominating Committee for the purpose of making recommendations to the membership for candidates to serve on the board of directors.
One board members’ term expired in 2013: Bill Fillmore and Bill has decided to not seek another term. As a result, the board served as a Nominating Committee and nominated Brad Beard, President of Fairview Hospital to fill Bill’s seat.
Chamber bylaws also provide for nomination by petition. A petition with signatures from ten qualified Chamber members must be filed within ten (10) days after this notice has been posted.
A Qualified Chamber Member is:
- An Active Member in good standing
- Willing and able to attend scheduled meetings
- Willing and able to accept the responsibility of a directorship
If no other names are submitted by the petition process, the Chamber Board will take action to elect the candidate.
Thanks to all who serve on the Richfield Chamber Board of Directors for their service to the Chamber and the community.
