It’s July and time for a Chamber Update. We recently celebrated the 4th of July with Richfield’s Red White and Blue Days Celebration. The 4th of July Volunteer Committee has been coordinating the event for 39 years. This year, they added a wreath laying at Veterans Memorial sponsored by the Morris Nilsen Funeral Home and a flyover to kick-off the parade. The flyover was sponsored by the Richfield American Legion Post 435 and the Fred Babcock VFW Post 5555. T-6 Thunder is a group of retired military pilots who fly their vintage aircraft in parades and airshows across the region. The flyover was incredible- thank you sponsors! For some great photos of this year’s event, check out Richfield’s Red White and Blue Days facebook page here.
Now that we are back from the cabin and our summer vacation week, The Chamber is helping to inspire you to get back into the swing of things with our monthly Member meeting on July 17 where we will inspire you to Positively Impact the Lives of Others. Join us for lunch at the new Local Roots Cafe and reconnect with your Chamber community. We will hear from John Maxwell Institute Certified Speaker, Jason Hunt. Space is limited, so make sure you register today.
As the weather holds our road construction projects are making great progress. To stay informed of the local 66th street project, you can click here for details. I35W is also undergoing a major transformation, so if you are used to taking it north through Downtown, you will want to visit this website first for the best route and current closures
There is lots to do in the month of July within our City and with our local businesses. Make sure to check out the online calendar to stay up to date on member activities. Also, as part of your membership, you can upload your events to the calendar as well. Log in to your member account to let the community know what you are doing!
