Minnesota to Increase Minimum Wage


The Legislature approved the increase last week which raises the minimum age above the Federal level. Companies with gross sales of at least $500,000 must pay employees at least $8 per hour starting in August 2014, $9 in August 2015 and $9.50 by August 2016.

Smaller companies and those exempt from certain federal labor laws pay lower rates starting at $6.50 and increasing to $7.75 by 2016. Read the full story here.
