Richfield Bloomington Honda celebrated its grand re-opening on Thursday, September 17th. The new facility increases the size of the dealership from 20,000 square feet to 165,000 square feet. It also features 48,729 square feet of rooftop parking; waste oil burned via a specialized boiler, which feeds the entire hot water heating system throughout the facility, including in-slab radiant showroom and service floor heating; a car wash that utilizes a water system that recycles and reuses a majority of its water; and energy reduction with LED light fixtures for both indoor and outdoor lighting.
In addition, RBH is increasing its sales staff by 25%. The facility also received a platinum rating in the Honda Environmental Leadership Program. The grand re-opening included a tour of the facility, a ribbon cutting, and a reception with live music by the Gary Raynor Group, catering provided by Crave, and beverages provided by With A Twist. Speakers included Tim Carter, General Manager of Richfield Bloomington Honda; David Henley, VP of Honda Field Sales Automotive Division at American Honda Motor Company; Minnesota State Representative Linda Slocum; Debbie Goettel, Mayor of the City of Richfield; Lori Nelson, President of the Richfield Chamber of Commerce; and Neil Bronder, VP and CEO of Renier.
