Richfield Reviews by Kerry Galbraith
I stopped by A World of Fish on a Monday afternoon, not knowing what to expect. This unassuming little shop seems to go on and on with and endless variety of colorful, exotic fish! The store is warm and humid, with an oceanic smell that reminds you of the Caribbean. The sound of aquariums humming drowns out the conversation of quite a few customers in the store. I was mesmerized by the beautiful array of tropical fish as I strolled through the store, trying to take some good pictures.
Excellent Variety That Goes On and On
I was surprised as I rounded a corner into yet another room with aquariums full of fish from floor to ceiling. A World of Fish is known for having one of the best selections of rare, healthy tropical fish in Minnesota. Darting around the black light-lit aquariums were fish like the Black Bar Soldier, the Clown Trigger, the Emperor Angelfish, the Harlequin Tuskfish, and the Red Volitans Lionfish.
Entertaining and Educational for the Whole Family
If there are any budding marine biologists in your family, A World of Fish is a must-see! All of the fish are meticulously labeled, some with a little description of the fish and what kind of environment they thrive in. There were many families with children in the store, all of them wide eyed and open mouthed at the amazing array.
Knowledgeable Staff and Huge Selection of Supplies
Just starting to build your home aquarium? A World of Fish has an endless supply of high quality aquariums and dry goods. Don’t forget to join the Fish Club and receive 10% off all regularly priced livestock. Whether you’re an avid hobbyist or just looking for an interesting place to take the kids, A World of Fish is a must-see!
