On behalf of the Richfield Chamber of Commerce I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our friends at V.E.A.P. for hosting this month’s member meeting. V.E.A.P. (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People) is a non-profit committed to helping individuals and families move out of crisis to stability and towards sustainability. This year, V.E.A.P. will support thousands of households in Richfield, Bloomington, Edina and South Minneapolis. When households are stable, our neighborhoods and communities are stable too. Find out more about V.E.A.P. by visiting their website at veap.org
Lunch at the member meeting was sponsored by our local Dairy Queen Grill and Chill who not only provided lunch for Chamber members, but also donated lunch and snacks to the volunteers at V.E.A.P. Did you know that, in addition to Dairy Queen’s national partnership with the Children’s Miracle Network, they also partner with local community organizations to ensure the communities where their franchises are located remain vibrant and successful! Part of those partnerships involve being active Chamber members as well as providing scholastic achievement incentives and student discounts. Learn more about how Dairy Queen is involved in the community on their website.
The Chamber would like to thank all of its members who took the time out of their day to come support local businesses. These meetings are an important part of creating working relationships within our community. Not only will you learn useful information, you will also meet new people and open yourself up to new opportunities. I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event!
